Liquid Silicon

Silicon is a beneficial plant nutrient,

found in virtually all natural soils but not – until now – in hydroponic nutrient solutions. Silicon will strengthen the plant walls producing stronger healthier plants with massive root systems and increased resistance to pests and disease. Liquid Silicon is highly beneficial to plants in the range of 10–30 ppm in the nutrient solution. It is not included, and cannot be included, at these levels, in nutrient concentrates. It needs to be added as a separate component by the grower. Liquid Silicon can be added to nutrient tanks every time a fresh batch is made up.

•Strengthens cell walls, helping plants to resist attacks from fungi and mites.
•Increases chlorophyll production leading to darker green leaves and improved light collection.
•Increases uptake of available CO2 and utilises the enhanced metabolic processes to deliver higher yields.
•Adds very useful extra potassium for enhanced flowering.

Liquid Silicon has an important role in the uptake and vascular transport of mineral nutrients, and can greatly improve the mechanical “strength” of the plant and its resistance to fungal diseases.

The addition of Liquid Silicon to nutrient solutions can greatly reduce the incidence and severity of fungal diseases including Botrytis (bud rot) and powdery mildew.

Recent research has demonstrated that raising the silicon concentration in hydroponic solutions produced thicker, whiter, healthier root systems and increased yields.

Silicon has also been shown to result in higher concentrations of chlorophyll per unit area of leaf tissue. This means that a plant is able to tolerate both lower and higher light levels by using more of the available light.

The best pH UP

Liquid Silicon – like ALL silicon products – is very basic, it has a high pH, and can therefore be used effectively to raise the pH of hydroponic nutrient solutions. The extra silicon added is a bonus for the plants.

We aim to deliver to mainland UK destinations within 2-7 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.) Please check product pages for any special delivery information relating to specific products. Please note that for delivery purposes the first full working day is the day after the order is received.

Deliveries are usually made via tracked services and will require a signature on delivery. Please ensure there is someone available to receive and sign for the parcel, or advise us of an alternate delivery address using the options available when completing your order at the checkout. Please use the BFPO option if you are sending to BFPO address, this will automatically update the delivery address with the MOD BF Postcode and will also work out the VAT exempt addresses.

Smaller, lightweight orders can be shipped using standard Royal Mail 1st class services.

Royal Mail will deliver between 09.00am and 18.00pm and cannot give a set time for delivery.

Whilst we will make every effort to deliver within the timescales stated on our website we will not be held liable for any consequential losses caused by late delivery.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they are available to sign for delivery. If in the event your order is unable to be signed for your parcel will be returned and you will be liable for further shipping costs.

Electrical

Electrical items, such as ballasts and fans, come with a manufacturers warranty (1-5 years depending on manufacturer), faulty items will need to be tested prior to an exchange or refund being issued, and in some cases, the item may need to be returned to the manufacturer for further testing. Bristol Hydro Centre cannot be held responsible for any damaged caused by you (the customer) through improper use or neglect.

Grow Lamps

If returning a faulty grow lamp, please ensure its in the original packaging as this includes vital information with need in order to issue an exchange.

Liquids

We’re afraid we CANNOT give an exchange or refund on ANY LIQUIDS, this includes all nutrients and supplements.
